This cute little lip balm arrived in my Memebox devoted to The Face Shop. This was not my favourite item in the box, cute as it may be, it was not something I needed or was interested in. Lip balms aren't my area of interest and I've got a lifetime supply of these thanks to Memeboxes.
The Face Shop Lovely Me:ex Dessert Lip Balm, quite obviously, attracted me with its packaging. This little jar has two separate compartments: a screw on top holds a tiny honey spoon hidden under a brown flip top and the bottom compartment contains the balm itself. I find the spoon quite gimmicky and I feel it picks too much product. I prefer using my own finger, which has also the advantage of warming the product before application.
My lip balm comes in variety no.2 Orange. It's a very nice, lightweight balm that makes my lips look glossy and I suppose it does its job quite well on my non-drying and non-demanding lips, but I feel that those of us who expect some improvement of their lips condition may say that this balm sits on the surface of their lips without conditioning them and once the balm is gone their lips return to their previous state.
What I personally don't like is its artificial scent, or maybe I just don't like citrusy fragrances.
What a cute, and gimmicky product! :D Never tried a Korean lipbalm before, as my lips are really on the 'demanding' side.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of which - I still remember clearly whose fault it is that I found my absolute favourite sunscreen. ^^ The Biore Mild Sun Milk that you reviewed in 2013, it was only you who got me onto this well-priced treasure and it is the most fantastic feels-like-nothing-on sunscreen ever.
You can't imagine how good it feels to hear that! I absolutely love Biore and I everything I've used from them is unbeatable. My childrens' allergic skin also loves their sunscreen. I'm ready for the spring/summer season as I've got a ton of sunscreens from Memeboxes just waiting to be tried out, but if they aren't any good I'll order Biore again.
DeleteOh my god that spoon!
