Korean goodies: IOPE Essential Face Oil review

I don't have much experience with facial oils and the only one I used before IOPE Essential Facial Oil was Clarins Lotus Face Treatment Oil which didn't make a good impression on me. The Clarins oil made me doubt whether facial oils were meant for my skin, even though the one I purchased addressed the needs of oily skin. It was thick and heavy and sat unpleasantly on my skin. I didn't feel encouraged to experiment with this kind of products any more and I didn't order the IOPE one specifically, it arrived in the Memebox devoted to the brand.

This IOPE oil is way lighter and spreads more easily than the Clarins one. It's like a cross between an oil and a serum. I love how quickly this absorbs and how non-oily it feels on my skin. It does moisturise and nourish perfectly without being sticky or greasy. I use it once or twice a week and I've noticed a substantial improvement in my skin condition.
The packaging also deserves an honourable mention. This oil comes in this gorgeous and luxurious dark blue bottle with a dropper. The dropper does its job well, though I believe it's impossible to squeeze out just a drop or 2.

All in all, this is a lovely facial oil for all skin types and for those of us who do not enjoy a heavy, greasy film on their faces but look for some extra care and nourishment.

Disclaimer: I bought the product myself for my personal use and I am not affiliated with any company. I am not paid to do this review and everything I said here is my genuine opinion.

  1. I love this too! I was so surprised you like it actually :)
To be honest though the saem has a facial oil that is even more lightweight than this so you might want to try that one out :)
