Dior Capture XP Ultimate Correction Eye Creme review

I have recently had the pleasure to test Dior Capture XP Ultimate Correction Eye Creme. This sample was large enough to use the product for about 2 weeks twice daily, which gives me the chance to write a reliable review, focussing not only on immediate results but also on the long-term effects.
You can read below what the cream claims to do:
The cream is rather thick consistencywise but it applies very well. It has supreme moisturising properties, did not leave my eye area dehydrated or dry. Absorbed quickly and did not cause my eye make-up to smudge. This cream has a pleasant floral smell which is barely perceptible when applied. The immediate results are fine, my eye area looked more smoothed out because this cream helped eliminate the dryness there.

However, I did not notice any particular improvement there in the period when I was using the cream, not to mention after I stopped using it.
I would purchase this cream if it was less expensive.  There are many other moisturisers for the eye area which cost a fraction of the price and perform equally well. It's a good cream but when you deal with a high-end product your expectations rise and it's sometimes almost impossible to fulfill them.

Disclaimer: I received this product as a complimentary sample for my personal use and I'm not affiliated with any company. I am not paid to do this review and everything I said here is my personal opinion.
