Garnier Micellar Water review

I'm writing this review of Garnier Micellar Water 3-in-1 after I've actually used the whole product up.
This micellar water promises to remove make-up, cleanse and soothe sensitive skin. It's a fragrance-free watery liqid that comes in a huge bottle with a nice opening that prevents such a runny product from flooding my cotton pads and prevents wasting too much product (L'Oreal Micellar solution, I'm looking at you).
The bottle is not really a dupe, but there's something about the style and the pink cap that immediately brings to my mind the acclaimed Bioderma micellar solution, so comparisons are unavoidable.
I personally wasn't able to see any difference. Both of them do a good job removing face make-up, even though I rarely rely on such products to do so. Neither of them can replace an oil-based eye make-up remover. I've never succeeded in removing all my eye make-up with just a couple of swipes. My micellar solution experience shows that removing eye make-up with them is a tedious and time-consuming activity that involves pressing, soaking, wiping a countless number of times.

I generally use micellar solutions after washing my face with an oil cleanser to remove any traces of whatever is left behind or to wipe any fall out under my eyes during the day and for that purpose the Garnier Micellar Water is a perfect choice. It's cheap and widely available, comes in a huge, well-designed bottle and does its job really well! I'm about to restock after I've used up the two micellar solutions that I received in my recent Glossyboxes.

Disclaimer: I bought the product myself for my personal use and I am not affiliated with any company. I am not paid to do this review and everything I said here is my genuine opinion.

  2. I completely agree! I recently got some Bioderma and to be honest I think it is over hyped

    1. I generally don't get the idea of micellar waters as make-up removers. They do a good job removing fallout or when I want to reapply my foundation during the day, but removing all make-up with Bioderma or Garnier is a long and not quite successful process.

    2. I use it the same way you do, after my first cleanser to make sure everything is clean.
