Korean goodies: Skinfood Watery Berry Eye Cream review

When it comes to eye creams I'm very hard to please. I have very dry undereye area which wrinkles tends to wrinkle partly due to the ageing process but mostly it's because of dehydration.
The problem with eye creams is that they are either comfortable for my eye area but greasy and smudge my make-up or absorb instantly, leaving my undereye quenched and more wrinkled than before.
I ordered the Watery Berry eye Cream solely for the reason that it offered wrinkle-smoothing effect by virtue of providing enough moisture. This seemed to make enough sense to me.
When I saw the consistency of the cream I was a bit scared cause it reminded me so much of Clinique All About Eyes which doesn't work for me at all. Fortunately my fears were unjustified.

Skinfood Watery Berry Eye Cream is one of the best eye creams I've used so far.
It's a lightweight cream with consistency close to a gel which glides on my skin soo smoothly, absorbs fairly quickly, doesn't dry my skin, provided plenty of moisture, works pretty well under my make-up, doesn't smudge the mascara nor make my concealer run! What else do I need?

I'm sure I will repurchase, especially that it's relatively inexpensive cause the jar contains 30g of product whereas all European and American eye creams are sold in 15ml tubes or jars.

Disclaimer: I bought the product myself for my personal use and I am not affiliated with any company. I am not paid to do this review and everything I said here is my genuine opinion.

    1. This is the eye cream so the way to use it is just obvooius, I just pat it under my eyes. But I suppose you're having trouble figuring out how to use the blending cream. Wait a couple of minutes and I'll post my review of the blending cream!

    2. No I know how to use the blending one but not this eye one :p
I mean you use it before you sleep only or anytime you want?
And how does this help my eyes, like lifting or anti aging?

    3. I see what you mean! It's non greasy so you can use it both morning and night, I use it in the morning mostly. The manufacturer of course promises anti-wrinkle treatment but what I notice is that the cream is highly hydrating, which I like very much

  4. Hi, I was wondering, do you put this cream on your eyelids too ? Does it do anything to help with wrinkles ? like reduce them or anything ?

    1. I did use this on my lids, it worked fine there. As far as diminishing wrinkles is concerned, I didn't notice any long term improvement but it moisturised the area better than other creams and for longer and it made me feel very comfortable. I believe providing enough moisture is the first step to prevent wrinkles and makes them less visible, hich doesn't mean they disappear.

  5. hi! do you know if this cream has like whitening properties for the eye area because i want to buy this for my mom and she wants to remove the color of the bags and the spots that usually appear there, can you help me please, or at least recommend me one that eliminate the darkness in the eyes area :)! thank youuu

    1. Hi Gabryela, I must say I haven't noticed any brightening or whitening of my undereye while using this cream, I wouldn't recommend it for that specific purpose for sure. The only thing that visibly, but only temporarily, reduced darkness under my eyes was the Purederm (Korean brand again) Collagen Eye Zone Mask that comes in a form of small patches soaked with collagen, vitamin E, green tea and other extracts. I could see the difference straightaway after removing these from under my eyes..

    1. Hi youko, if I were you I would wait a couple of years till I use anti wrinkle creams. There's this pressure these days to start wrinkle care early, but I think wrinkle care at young age means moisturising well instead of treating wrinkles which you obviously don't have. Using wrinkle care too early may result in your skin getting used to different treatments and not reacting to them properly when the right time comes.

    1. Oh, those must be wrinkles that appear where your skin naturally creases due to the shape of your eyes and face. My 7-year-old son has those and so does everyone and no eye cream is going to correct your natural eye shape. This Skinfood cream is excellent, but I don't think it will solve your problem. This will moisturise the area and prevent wrinkles that appear due to dehydration. My advice is embrace your lines and enjoy your youth before you really need an eye cream like I do!

    2. I am pretty sure that it has nothing to do with my natural eye shape. my under eye area feels really dry and because of that these wrinkles appeard. if I don't put some cream on, it feels like it's getting worse... so it sounds like this cream will help me with my problem. you wrote that the cream moisturise the area and prevent wrinkles that appear due to dehydration (that's pretty much my problem isn't it?). please tell me: if I would start using it would the wrinkles go away? do you see an improvement on yourself? and Skinfood is known for its natural ingredients I don't think that this cream will be too harsh for my "young" skin??? thanks for your answer :)

    3. Now I see! You seem to have the same problem as me! I've noticed that proper hydration is the key. I don't believe wrinkles will go away, but the new ones won't appear. I feel this cream could be the solution to the problem as I found it long-term hydrating without being too harsh or addressing mature skin needs.
