I'm a huge fan of the original Burbery Body fragrance so I was more than happy to have the opportunity to test a sample of its new incarnation, called Tender.
I carried out a small test, spraying the original EDP on one wrist and Tender, which I suppose was an EDT, on the other.
At first, the difference was very clear. The very first notes of Tender were much more floral, after they evaporated, the scent became more similar to its parent. It seemed to me almost identical, just more... well... tender!
I know that you shouldn't compare an EDP and an EDT in terms of strength and duration, and indeed, in case of these two fragrances the original one dominated the Tender one mercilessly. The original Body fills in the entire room, whereas you need to come close to the wearer to sense Tender.
I don't think I really need both of these, they're so alike. I think Tender might be a better choice for those of us who love Burberry Body, but cannot wear killer scents to work.
Fortunately, I don't need to adjust to tastes and requirements of others in my workplace, so I'll stick to my good old Burberry Body in its original form.
