This shampoo is a yellow, transparent substance that brings to mind baby oil, the difference being that it's thick in consistency. It foams nicely and has a pleasant, not very strong smell. Unfortunately this shampoo left my hair more tangled than my other shampoos do. I have very fine, thin curly hair which tangles easily but shampoos and conditioners for dry/curly hair usually deal with the problem well. I think this shampoo is more suitable for straight hair which needs moisture and shine.
