John Frieda Luxurious Volume Touchably Full Shampoo, Conditioner and Mousse review

My experience with John Frieda belongs to the hit or miss category, but their Luxurious Volume line is definitely my favourite upper-shelf drugstore hair care range.
The problem with having ultra thin hair is that it's frizzy and flies in all directions at the slightest gust of wind. It's easy to weigh down with frizz control, smoothing products but looks thinning and flat. Volumising haircare induces frizz and makes it look dry, damaged and shineless.
John Frieda in their Luxurious Volume Line seem to have found the right balance between adding volume and keeping the hair smooth.

While washing my hair receives a kind of tangible boost, its volume seems to puff up in my hands but the texture remains sikly soft and smooth. The luxurious conditioner only adds to this incredible feeling. Both products have the same gorgeous scent that brings to my mind much higher-end products.

However, this product isn't perfect. My normal hair turns from soft and sleek to flat and greasy the next day and reviving it with dry shampoos doesn't change this impression too much.

Overall, I absolutely love the combo when I have enough time to wash and style my hair in the morning, but I usually live in a hurry, wash my hair before bedtime, wake up at 6, put on make-up, drag the kids out of their beds, feed them, then drag them to school and there's no time left for hair. I'm still on the hunt for a product that will make my hair looks fresh and nicely styled for more than a day.

Hair mousses used to be a must have in the 90s, but as the times and hair styles changed they have gained a bad reputation for producing stiff and crisp hair. They're still being produced but have never regained their popularity. I wonder why, because mousses today have nothing to do with their predecessors from the last century. John Frieda Luxurious Volume Volume Building Mousseis one of such products. The rich mousse makes my hair supersmooth and glossy while adding some volume. There's no dryness nor stiffness to the hair, my locks feel silky and look natural and healthy. Excellent product and kind of an underdog too cause no one seems to rave about it even though its worth it!

Disclaimer: I bought the product myself for my personal use and I am not affiliated with any company. I am not paid to do this review and everything I said here is my genuine opinion.
