kwas chlebowy - eastern European sparkling drink

Start your preparation in the evening. Boil about 12 litres of water, add 2 handfuls of dried bread ( the taste will differ depending on the type of bread you use) and a glass of sugar. When this liquid cools down to lukewarm temperature dissolve about 20 grams of  fresh yeast in 1/4 glass of  warm liquid and add to the pot. Leave overnight. In the mornimg remove the pieces of bread, add more sugar or preferably honey to taste. Pour into PET bottles using a funnel and a thick gauze (to get rid of the sediment), pop 2-3 raisins into each bottle and close carefully with a cap. Leave in a dark, cool place for a couple of days and enjoy the taste of absolutely natural sparkling drink.
