The Body Shop Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter review

The Body Shop Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter

I feel very sentimental about The Body Shop and I'm sure their products are very high quality, but I find them quite overpriced so I hardly ever wonder in. When I received a 'buy one get one free' voucher for body butters in my Glossybox I simply couldn't resist taking advantage of it.
When I was about to pay my eyes fell on a tin which looked quite like shoe polish lying on the counter. I must admit that I'm a sucker for such packaging. Lip balms, blushes, glosses, candies in tins always grab my attention. When the lovely assistant saw me fiddling with the tin she explained that was the new make-up remover and she strongly recommended getting one.

This camomile butter is a solid substance which melts upon the contact with your skin. You need a small bit to remove make-up from your entire face. I have oily skin so I'm a bit afraid to use it all over my face as in the past cleansing oils caused breakouts but it's a wonderful eye make-up remover. I massage it gently, barely touching the skin on my eye area, my lashes in particular, and it dissolves even the most waterproof mascara within seconds without tugging or pulling. Then all I need to do is to rinse it with water. It does leave some oily residue, which you may remove with a cotton pad soaked in some micellar solution or leave it as it is cause it is nicely moisturising in the area which needs hydration most.

A little goes a long way so I don't think I'll have to repurchase any time soon, but I surely will when the need arises.

    1. It's supposed to be a new product, at least according to what the assistant told me.
