Uriage Hyseac Mat Pore Refiner for combination to oily skin review

I got this sample from one of my local chemists to try out as I was looking for something that would help me mattify my skin, especially now, in the warmer weather.

Hyseac Mat is a mattifying cream for combination to oily skin. It's supposed to mattify, hydrate and diminish the appearance of pores.
To my surprise the consistency of the cream was thicker than I'd expected. However, it was very easy to apply, it went on as smoothly as most make-up primers. It actually didn't feel like a cream at all. My face felt moisturised and exceptionally smooth to touch. The finish could be described as velvety matte.
Unfortunately, such matte finish is always achieved at some cost. On its own it made my face tight and itchy, but when used under a foundation made my foundation apply so easily.

I suppose I'll get this cream full size to use it interchangeably with other mattifying creams or fluids as my oily skin gets used to all those mattifying treatments pretty quickly and after a couple of weeks of using them they no longer feel tight or matte.
Even though this cream is worth getting for its wonderful finish.
