Clarins BB Skin Perfecting Cream in Medium review

I am a big fan of BB Creams and I really like Clarins so I jumped at the opportunity to try this one out.
Unfortunately the shade medium I received to try out turned out way too dark and orange for my NW20 skin. It made me look like an oooompa looompa, but still I took advantage of a day off to test its coverage, application and longevity, bearing in mind the fact that I could always reach for a lighter shade if I liked the product.
The BB Cream by Clarins applied very well with my fingers, making my face feel very smooth and look glowy. The coverage, in spite of being orange, was good even though I used a very small amount of product.
When I set this product with powder it didn't turn cakey at all and the finish turned from glowy to satin. The BB Cream has no particular smell and SPF 25. The description on the back of the sachet focused more on how to apply sun block before sun exposure rather than on any benefits of the BB Cream, which made me wonder about the actual function of the product.

Two hours later the BB Cream still looked quite matte, though I'm not sure whether this is thanks to the foundation or the setting powder. What I noticed, however, was that the BB Cream was almost gone from my face. Orange tint still lingered on but I could see all my discolouration and unevennes I normally want to hide under foundation.

To conclude I want to say this BB Cream is a total miss for me. I like Clarins foundations but Clarins BB Cream is not worth my attention.
