Today I'd like to review my absolute favourite as far as brow products are concerned.
Etude House Drawing Eye Brow is a retractable pencil with a flat, angled tip and a spoolie on the other side.
This pencil makes it possible not only to fill in my brows but also to shape them in the best way possible. With this pencil I can correct any irregularities of my brows and make them more similar to each other than they normally are.
When the pencil arrived, after a couple of failed attempts to swatch it (see picture below) I thought it wouldn't work at all. It was so hard and lacked decent pigmentation. Quite the contrary, this pencil does a wonderful job on my brows. It deposits the right amount of colour right on my brow hairs, not on the skin underneath. This slanted shape is ingenious! It makes it so easy to apply colour on my brows! What's more this pencil lasts all day long with no fading.
The only drawback of this product is the shade. While I like the tone, which is an ashy kind of brown, it's too dark for my fair complexion. I need to be careful to apply it quite light-handedly so as not to look like a clown. I would really appreciate a lighter shade but I don't hope to find any among Korean products cause everyone of Asian desdent is lucky enough to have much darker brows than mine.
To conclude, I'd like to say that inspite of the fact that the shade is too dark, I will probably repurchase, or get a similar product by other Korean brands in a most probably futile attempt to find something somewhat lighter.
Did you try gray one? Grays is an universal color to eye brow and very good to blondies or clear colors hairs ;-)
ReplyDeleteNo, I haven't. This is my first Korean brow pencil ever. I will definitely try the gray one after I've used this one up! Thanks for your help!
